Current Program Phases

Community Health Survey

The Community Health Survey is the first initiative of the Shusto Shongshar Program, designed to better understand the health needs, strengths, and priorities of communities in Rupdia, Jashore, Bangladesh. Through community surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews, the project gathers local perspectives to identify priority health concerns, existing community assets, and opportunities for action. The findings will help inform culturally appropriate, community-led health education and future initiatives that reflect the needs and priorities of the communities they are intended to serve.

Community Findings & Action Planning

The next phase of the Shusto Shongshar Program is to share the community health survey findings with participating communities and local stakeholders. We will work together, FK Bangladesh Team and local stakeholders, to identify the top health-priorty to address first based on the survey findings. This collaborative process will ensure that future initiatives are community-driven, culturally appropriate, and guided by the voices of those they are designed to serve.

Program Design & Implementation

Building on the community's identified priorities, the next phase focuses on designing and implementing a community-led health initiative to address the highest-priority health need. Working alongside local community champions, partners, and community members, the Shusto Shongshar Program will develop a culturally appropriate, evidence-informed intervention that builds on community strengths, promotes sustainable solutions, and improves the health and well-being of families and the broader community.
