[tp no_translate=”y”]Future Kind[/tp] holds free educational summer camps for the youth. The goal is to empower young people to improve their quality of life and reduce their impact on the environment. The camps are designed to teach students about a wide-range of topics including acro-yoga, music, permaculture and speech-and-debate. The common thread that runs through all classes is an emphasis on developing habits that promote health, environmental consciousness and self-efficacy.
The 2012 Summer Camp will be held at the River School Farm (www.riverschool.info) in Reno, NV. Students from local low income high schools will be selected to participate in the camp. This year’s workshops will cover the areas of permaculture, yoga, and music.
We are currently having planning committee meetings for the 2012 summer camp. If you would like to help and/or teach a workshop, please send us an email at email@example.com. We are looking for positive and enthusiastic people who are eager to make a difference in their community.
The Maskoys, natives of the northern region of Paraguay, in the heart of South America, are one of the many indigenous communities living in sub-human conditions in the area. With no access to clean water, sanitary systems, or electricity, the Maskoys struggle to sustain themselves, and are very susceptible to disease. Communities like these are disappearing around the world due to total neglect of authorities, taking with them invaluable knowledge and culture.
[tp no_translate=”y”]Future Kind[/tp] is working with local and tribe authorities to provide access to basic sanitary system to the Maskoys. Please consider donating to [tp no_translate=”y”]Future Kind[/tp] if you believe in the importance of helping keep cultures like these alive around the world.
This is the Centro Educativo Pirizal, in Puerto Casado, Alto Paraguay – Paraguay. This center was built as a technical high school, to provide students with the technical support they need to become a technical professional, or aim to get into higher education. The center was built as a donation from Dr. Nicolas Leoz (current president of the South American Soccer Federation), which consist of classrooms and office space; however, the center is lacking the appropriate educational material to help students further their education.
